We celebrated a highly-praised moment during the International Radio Conference in Dubai when our Radio One Global Chairman; Mr. Raymond Gaspar received the lifetime achievement award at the International Radio Cast Awards - without being a contestant - on May 23^rd 2006.

Having been invited as the honorary guest and speaker for the ceremony, it came to Raymond as a surprise when he was presented with such a wonderful award!

The lifetime achievement award stands as a highly recognized distinction amongst an extensive group of radio stations in the Middle East. Such an award is chosen and pre-selected by the world’s leading authorities in media such as, Keith Pringle the managing director of Capital FM in London and Steve Martin, the on-air editor of BBC World.

The award is a reflection of Radio One’s towering accomplishments and infinite contributions to the radio industry in the Arab world and the Middle East, classified under exceptional standards.
